Communications Skills Training
Can we have an honest conversation?
In today’s world, it can be hard to speak our mind.
What if we get into an argument? What if I lose my cool? What if I say the wrong thing? Is it easier to just stay silent (and possibly lose your integrity or your relationship)?
The truth is, it’s healthy for us to disagree. In fact, it’s human to have different opinions. What’s important is having the skills to feel capable to have constructive conversations to navigate differences, hear each other and speak honestly.

How you communicate is the key.
Olive Branch leads interactive communications trainings to help you and your group navigate constructive personal interactions in today’s world. And to help people feel empowered to have courageous conversations that strengthen relationships and enhance teams.
Is it possible to have conversations about uncomfortable, vulnerable or thorny topics?
Yes, with practice, skills and tools, we can all have insightful conversations about politics, work issues, community concerns, relationships and more. It’s no surprise, healthy conversations are the stepping stone to collaboration, problem solving and ultimately stronger communities.

Your team will learn:
- Listening skills and practices to have open interchanges
- How to ask questions that de-escalate conflict, invite curiosity and personal connection
- Respectful response to speak truthfully, even when there’s disagreement

Learn, Practice and Process
Our approach is highly interactive, practical and customized to address real world situations in your work, community, at home or school. You’ll learn some, then break off into groups to practice. When we’re done, we gather together to harvest what we learned individually and as a group.
It’s a proven way to learn together.
Participants tell us they feel more capable and confident in their interactions and continue to use these practices, well after our workshops.

Trainings follow the Constructive Cycle of communications, with interactive group exercises for each part of the cycle.
